On the occasion of the Dante Day, Thursday 25 March at 6.00 pm, in this seventh centenary of Dante's death, ARTinGENIO and EVOLUTION TV invite the public to connect in streaming with the www.evolutiontv.it platform or through Facebook www.facebook.com/Evolutiontvpisa, at the “At the table with Dante” event.
The journalist Manuela Arrighi will lead a path between art, literature and cuisine giving the floor to Mirco Manuguerra, President of the Lunigianese Center of Dante Studies and to Francesco Corsi, Publisher, member of the same Study Center and former professor of Philosophy at the STI connected to the Theological Faculty from Florence.
The musician Eka, who will play the Bandura, an instrument of ancient origins with 64 strings, will open the medieval Dante atmosphere, continuing with interludes and accompanying music to the reading of Dante's passages.
The Dante Day marks the celebration of the Poet's descent into Hell: the miniatures and suggestions of the sanguines by Maestro Piero Colombani have a particular emotional impact, which will lead us into the forest of symbols, to get to touch the main theme of the transmission with an image of the greedy Pope.
At that point, Francesco Corsi will explain the meaning of this title published with ARTinGENIO, “At the table with Dante”. The text offers a unique opportunity to look at the elevated figure of the poet through everyday life and the aspect that determines our life: food.
Francesco Corsi declares in advance, “With this book, whose cover is attributable to the painting of the master Alfonso Mangone, a painter in great ascent, we are inaugurating the“ Dante Studies ”series directed by Manuguerra here.
